Requests to move Adjournment of Dáil under Standing Order 31.
2:30 pm
Paudge Connolly (Cavan-Monaghan, Independent)
I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to debate the following urgent matter: the need for graduates of all third level colleges to be allowed to vote in Seanad Éireann elections and not merely the four oldest universities of the National University of Ireland and Trinity College, and the fact that the Irish Constitution was changed in 1979 to allow all graduates to vote in Seanad elections and calls for the introduction of the appropriate legislation to implement this provision in advance of the next Seanad elections.
