Question 2: To ask the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform his views on the 7% increase in the yearly headline crime figures published on 13 April 2006 and the 8% increase in the quarterly figures; his views in particular on the substantial increase in the number of murders; the action he intends to take arising from the increase in the number of serious crimes; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
