I welcome the Labour Party's proposal to have a debate on this matter. In preparation for the debate, I carried out some research. I read in The Whitehaven News and in a press release from Cumbrians Opposed to a Radioactive Environment, CORE, that, on a bank holiday weekend in the United Kingdom last year, a shipment of plutonium MOX fuel was transported through the Irish Sea to Cherbourg. Did the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government know about this shipment? Was he informed about it?
