4:00 pm

Séamus Pattison (Carlow-Kilkenny, Labour)

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy O'Shea — the need for a school (details supplied) to maintain its disadvantaged status and concessionary teacher post; (2) Deputy Burton — that the Minister make a statement on the future of the National Aquatic Centre following the recent court judgment; (3) Deputy Broughan — the need to ensure that the campus and facilities of a school (details supplied) continue in educational and community use; (4) Deputy Costello — the need for the Minister to explain her failure to tackle the crisis in the accident and emergency unit in the Mater Hospital; (5) Deputy Crowe — the need for the Minister to carry out urgent reform and to invest in the State's fire service; (6) Deputy Cuffe — the slow decline and gradual shut-down of Irish Rail's freight business; and (7) Deputy Gregory — the need for an independent inquiry into the case of a person (details supplied) who died following injuries sustained in a cell in Store Street Garda Station, Dublin 1.

The matters raised by Deputies Costello, O'Shea, Broughan and Crowe have been selected for discussion.
