I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to consider a matter of national importance requiring urgent attention, namely, the study showing a significant level of tuberculosis infection in parts of Dublin city; the inadequate hospital treatment provision for tuberculosis patients following the failure to put in place promised inpatient beds and medical teams in the wake of the grossly irresponsible closure of the tuberculosis unit at Peamount Hospital, which closure the Government facilitated; and the need for the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children to outline the measures she will introduce to address this threat to public health.
