The Minister is changing the name from "old-age pension" to "State pension" and rightly so. Most of the people we know who are aged 65 and 66 are well-capable of going out and working. They would enjoy work and want to work, but are constrained because if they do so it will affect their non-contributory pension. The change is good. The Minister says it will affect 34,000 people. I expect it will affect many more in the future.
