I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to discuss an issue of urgent national importance, namely, the current underspend of €3.65 billion in the funding allocated to the BMW region under the national development plan for the period 2000 to 2006 and in the light of the revelation that €4 million in tourism funding for the west was reallocated last year to child care programmes and given that there is now only 11 months remaining in the lifetime of the national development plan what measures are being taken to ensure that the funding allocated to the BMW region will be expended in the BMW region.
