I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under one of those frustrating Standing Orders, in this case No. 31, to debate the following urgent matter: the necessity for the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment to make a statement regarding the actions of a company, Doyle Concrete, in Rathangan which is attempting to bully its workers into accepting intolerable terms and conditions of employment in an effort to replace the current workers with lower paid migrant labour; the fact that workers at the plant have been on strike since 5 October and the rejection by this company of Labour Court recommendations in respect of the matter.
