I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to debate the following urgent matter: the disastrous and unprecedented permission in place for genetically modified oilseed rape GT73, a viable seed, to be imported into Ireland; the need for the Government to implement the safeguard clause to protect Irish agriculture and the future marketing of food in line with the democratic wishes of the Committees on European Affairs and Environment and Local Government and the people of Ireland.
