I welcome the Minister of State's statement. As previous speakers noted, this issue was discussed ad nauseam on Committee Stage and obviously there are many strongly held views on the matter. It is most important that the public is protected. What timespan after the Bill's passage does the Minister of State envisage before the Tánaiste will be in a position to make a decision on this important issue?
