Requests to move Adjournment of Dáil under Standing Order 31.
2:30 pm
Tommy Broughan (Dublin North East, Labour)
I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to raise a matter of national importance, namely, the serious difficulties at An Post in view of the imminent strike action by postal workers, the deteriorating postal service, especially the plummeting rate of next day deliveries and the effects of full postal deregulation on An Post as recently outlined by the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources; and the need for the Government to intervene.
