I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to raise a matter of urgent public importance, namely, the death of Mr. Patrick Walsh, aged 70 years, at Monaghan General Hospital, the need for the HSE to report back as quickly as possible on why three attempts were made to transfer Mr. Walsh to hospitals nearby and as far afield as Beaumont and the need for the Minister for Health and Children, Deputy Harney, to ensure adequate facilities are now in place in Monaghan General Hospital to avoid a recurrence of such a tragic incident.
