Garda Síochána Bill 2004 [Seanad]: Motion to Recommit.

——where the Commissioner is of the opinion that the person's membership of the force would undermine public confidence in the force. The second similar amendment involves directing a member of the Garda Síochána to account for any act done or omission made while on duty. The principle is satisfactory but the follow-up process, which might end with the dismissal of that member, needs to be teased out. There must be fair and due process.
