Requests to move Adjournment of Dáil under Standing Order 31.
5:00 pm
Denis Naughten (Longford-Roscommon, Fine Gael)
I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to discuss a matter of national importance, namely, the accident yesterday where a pupil fell from a school bus carrying pupils from Corrigeen Roe national school, County Roscommon. There is an immediate need for the Minister for Education and Science to outline the circumstances surrounding the incident, for the Minister to outline the steps taken to ensure an independent investigation into the incident takes place, and to outline the measures to ensure such an incident is not repeated.
