I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to discuss the practical response to this week's Irish Business Against Litter survey of towns, which again highlights a serious litter problem that undermines our tourism industry and reflects badly on business, the necessary response being the introduction of a refundable deposit on beverage bottles and cans, a proposal the Green Party has made in the House on several occasions and the Government, particularly the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, Deputy Roche, can no longer afford to ignore.
