I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to discuss the following matter of great public concern, namely, the urgent necessity for the Government to abandon its ludicrous plans to build incinerators at Ringaskiddy, Ringsend and Carranstown, and recognising the overwhelming opposition of communities throughout the State to incineration, the further need for the Government to abandon its incineration policy and to replace it with a zero waste strategy that will meet the needs of the people of this State and this island.
