I seek the Adjournment of the Dáil to address the following urgent matter of national importance, namely, the ongoing crisis in our public hospital accident and emergency departments, as highlighted by the series of protests by the Irish Nurses' Organisation and including the totally unacceptable situation in Tallaght Hospital, where, on 12 and 13 April, there were 62 and 67 people respectively lying on trolleys in the accident and emergency department, as well as dozens queuing for attention in the unit.
