Requests to move Adjournment of Dáil under Standing Order 31.
10:30 am
Eamon Ryan (Dublin South, Green Party)
I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to debate the following urgent matter: that the current arrangements for drift netting of wild salmon at sea may place the State in breach of the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea which places obligations on the State for the conservation of migratory wildlife, and the condemnation by the UK authorities of our drift netting policy which has now become an issue in the upcoming British general election.
