Requests to move Adjournment of Dáil under Standing Order 31.

11:00 am

Joe Sherlock (Cork East, Labour)

I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to debate the following urgent matter: the need for the Minister for Social and Family Affairs to act to ensure that social welfare payments can still be collected at post offices rather than paid only by electronic means given the large number of people who do not yet have bank accounts and the extent to which elderly people, especially in rural areas, rely on their local post offices.
