I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to raise a matter of national importance, namely, the meeting in Luxembourg today under the auspices of the World Health Organisation and the EU to discuss measures to deal with the predicted pandemic of avian flu and the urgent need for the Department of Health and Children to formulate plans to deal with such an outbreak.
