I seek the adjournment of the Dáil under Standing Order 31 to raise a matter of public and national concern, namely the chronic under funding in counties Cavan and Monaghan and nationally of child and adolescent psychiatric services, which has resulted in only the gravest emergency cases of threats to lives, safety or security being treated with consequent trauma for both children and parents, the urgent necessity for the earliest possible intervention and to call for adequate funding to be provided to streamline psychiatric services for young people.
