I welcome the opportunity to go into the nice, fresh lands of Meath as director of elections for the Labour Party and particularly for the candidate, Mr. Dominic Hannigan. He reminds me of myself, when I started off. Many people, particularly from the large parties, wrote me off. They will attempt to do the same to Mr. Hannigan at their peril. He has been campaigning since December. He is young, enthusiastic, vibrant and intelligent, somebody who really wants to represent the people. One has to have the enthusiasm to want to represent the people.
I have had the opportunity to visit Meath. I do not purport to know everything about it, but I know that some parts of Westmeath have been annexed for the next elections. I noticed that the Minister was in that part of our county last week and I was surprised that Deputy Brady was not there. I do not know why he was not invited, because he is someone who——
