Twenty-seventh Amendment of the Constitution Bill 2004: Second Stage (Resumed).
11:00 am
Séamus Healy (Tipperary South, Independent)
The Government said that it would end hospital waiting lists within two years of taking office, a deadline that will be reached in approximately a month. It is another example of a promise that has been broken. We are familiar with the state of the health services as a result of such broken promises. We were also promised 3,000 additional hospital beds, but many beds have been closed instead.
