We have to look at the hurdles involved in progressing essential State infrastructure. The NDP sectoral plan allocates €1 billion plus to DART+ West. I do not want to be sitting here in a year's time in front of the NTA saying it has to wait for another allocation to start the next phase, especially with MetroLink and the problems that have to be overcome legally with that. We need to push on and reduce the number of gates and stages to try to construct this piece of infrastructure as soon as possible.
