Petition on Pearse House Regeneration
2:00 am
Mr. Neil Maloney:
No. In the early 1990s, probably, the windows were changed. There was a heating upgrade, because there used to be open fires. Central heating was put in. Again, however, that was 30-odd years ago. We have had no real investment at all. Any investment made is by the tenants.
Deputy Hayes asked about maintenance.
If we put a kitchen in, for example, and there is a leak or anything like that, maintenance will not touch it and they will say, "Well, you put that in; that is your problem." That is what we face. With any investment people make in their homes, they are crucified because the minute they do anything like that they are told they put it in, it is their responsibility and they have to get it fixed.
