We would always have to say where we were from. On a serious note, having listened to previous speakers and Mr. Maloney, I gather the big thing missing here is the common-sense approach. That is a massive issue within these buildings. Common sense does not exist 99.9% of the time. Other speakers spoke about maintenance crew privatisation. In the healthcare service and in the nursing home sector, privatisation is for profit, not patients. The principle is the same here.

I was very interested in the response from Dublin City Council on 14 August 2025. It stated that full-time caretaking services operate daily within the estate and that duties include maintaining common areas, presenting waste for collection and reporting any repairs and accidents in the complex. The important line was that all maintenance and repair requests are responded to in accordance with the housing maintenance procedures. Is Mr. Maloney telling me that does not happen?
