Regarding the opportunity for organisations to become better equipped and be provided with the tools to do more work in this area in the future, the Minister of State, Deputy Dooley, only yesterday committed to increasing the powers of IFI around water quality and habitat destruction. This is very welcome. An MOU is also being progressed by IFI with the National Parks and Wildlife Service with a view to cross-warranting under the habitats legislation and the wildlife Acts. We are going to have many more strings to our bow for future events.
