Could this position Ireland as a global centre of excellence for such developments, creating an innovative and entrepreneurial ecosystem for the development of technologies to support floating offshore energy generation and, importantly, allow for research into its impact on the wider marine and coastal environment – for example, fisheries, tourism and protected areas?
