There are a number of questions to unpack. There is probably a role for having advocates for various scenarios. I would have to go to my wider membership to confirm that but I suspect it is what would come back. Certainly, there needs to be overarching training on what is the advocate's role in any given situation. At present, this is a little bit vague. Certainly, many of our members have raised concerns that when an advocate becomes involved they are unsure of the scope of practice with regard to where does the role of the advocate begin and end. It is about the terms of engagement for that.
