In response to the Senator's question on prevention, part of that is reflecting on and learning from the events, trauma and instances that have happened over the years and also looking at what is going well and what we are achieving because a lot of good work has been done, including the work of former Senator Colette Kelleher. We can learn from what has gone well so far and what could be improved. When we were looking at developing advocacy initiatives in the service at one stage, we asked people what it would look like if we were getting it right. They said it would be that we listen to them. We then asked what it would look like if we do not get it right and they said it would be that we had not listened to them. It is as basic as that. Certainly, that is where it begins and ends - listening to those we serve and their families about how we get this right.
