The HIQA recommendation did refer to the role of the clinical directors, that they were not aligned and located with their directorate triumvirate team. I have changed that. We have revised the job descriptions for the clinical specialty needs to reflect HIQA’s recommendations that it is not only a leadership role but also a management role, and I have met all the clinical specialty leads.
