There are directed at apparently healthy populations. For people who have symptoms, a screening programme is not appropriate. If there are symptoms which are suspicious of breast cancer, bowel cancer or cervical cancer, it is not a question of expediting one's screening patterns, it is one of getting through to the appropriate clinics and specialists as quickly as possible.
