Even if they are entitled to the fully funded schemes such as the warmer homes scheme, how do we convince them to take part in the programme when they are at that stage of their lives? It involves a lot of upheaval for them. The work can take up to two years from application to when the work is fully completed. It is about trying to reach those households as well that could still be burning fossil fuels and relying on oil or living in poorly insulated homes. They are probably looking at their age and whether it is worth all the inconvenience and disruption it can cause so engaging with those people is important. The community outreach programme is one of those ways. As Mr. Boland said earlier, those are the households we worked with during the Eircode and digital switchover.
