Credit Servicers Directive: Discussion

Yes. I wrote an article in The Irish Examinerand I mentioned this. In a sense, what would be the best for all concerned would be if the Central Bank would step up to the plate and recognise that it has to play the role of referee. It is the referee between the borrower and the credit purchaser, via the credit servicer, and it must look at both sides and set out rules and procedures that must be followed. If those rules are not followed, the Central Bank must sanction the parties involved.
