If landlords do not think they are getting the proper price and want to go to auction with the property or sell it in some other format, such as by means of private treaty, then they do not have to go back to the tenant to match any of the bids. Nobody is stopping tenants from turning up at auctions and, even though they are outside the 90 days, still bidding on the property. There is nothing stopping that today. That is why we are asking if the proposed Bill is really needed. As matters stand right now, it is possible to do exactly what the Senator described. Why would we need to put it into a Bill?
