We aware in Ireland that there is inequity in accessibility of services across different areas of the country. In those areas, we know that some patients are not getting access to the appropriate services to which patients in other areas have access. It is a problem across our society with regard to disability, psychiatric and palliative care services in particular. There are inequities that are less significant across medical or surgical services, whereby people can move across different areas and be referred to different areas for services.
