I should declare an interest by mentioning that I was the Minister who introduced the legislation in the first place. IFI is a critical institution for protecting and benefiting the environment and anglers have a real interest in protecting the environment. I disagree with the characterisation that there is, on the one hand, an interest in protecting the environment and, on the other hand, we have those involved in angling. If anything, the two connect and combine. I fish and in my experience anglers have a real interest in the broader environment and in protecting it, so I do not see that as a conflict.
