The Deputy alluded to the Maritime Area Planning Act 2021, which is a good example. This Act clearly acknowledges the 2021 Act for maritime area planning and the whole planning regime for the offshore maritime area.

There probably needs to be more formal statements within this about how the two relate to one another.

Another example is the 2019 legislation on planning applications relating to Dublin Airport, air traffic noise and all of that. The 2019 Act is acknowledged in the draft Bill as existing in the background, but more probably needs to be done in that regard. There are some transitional provisions or acknowledgements within the draft Bill. For example, the new sections dealing with ten-year development plans include provisions in respect of existing development plans.
