This is an important discussion, particularly given the presence of many Deputies and Senators representing rural areas, who understand the importance of the Bill in terms of striking a balance between supporting the growth of the sector and protecting the interests of local communities, especially in tourism areas that are the lifeblood of many rural communities and provide the social and economic dividend for many people to survive.

As regards Airbnb, Mr. Nolan referred to figures for Galway, Kerry and other parts of the country. Does he have figures relating to the profile of short-term lets in County Mayo? It is situated on the Wild Atlantic Way and this is an extremely important industry and sector for jobs.
