We in University of Galway feel that guidance counsellors are critical. In preparation for today, I did some work with our access and student recruitment staff who say that guidance counsellors are critical in encouraging students and making the information available. Many of the other elements of the report the Deputy raised are also important, but we think guidance counsellors are critical in raising awareness.
