Sir John mentioned the irresponsible publication in The Timesof London of an incorrect extract from the framework document. I know it has been more than 30 years but does he have a recollection of any of the broadcast or print media in Britain being responsible or trying to be helpful in relation to the ongoing negotiations, instead of running with scare headlines that would give succour to the people who did not want to see an end to violence? To his recollection, were there any branches of the media that were helpful?
