Mr. John Finucane:

Sir John in his opening statement mentioned that he met victims from time to time and stressed the importance of ensuring that violence did not go on. In his opening statement, he stated that the police and army did not murder, kneecap or carry out bombings. I respectfully disagree with the analysis that he cannot comment on legacy on the basis that it is a negotiation.
