Some of the current funding structures under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, UNFCCC, such as the green climate fund, are quite poor when it comes to ensuring that money reaches the most vulnerable first. It is often very difficult for local NGOs to go through the really tedious process to get the funding. So one of our key asks is to ensure that the loss and damage fund process is streamlined so that vulnerable communities, which may not have the resources of an NGO like Christian Aid, can access the funding.
