I move amendment No. 27:

In page 27, between lines 5 and 6, to insert the following: “(3) In the case of no fewer than 30 per cent of Commissioners and at least 20 per cent of members of the staff of the Commission, a person shall not be appointed to these roles unless he or she is able to communicate proficiently in the Irish language. This provision shall be in force in relation to all new appointments following the enactment of this Act.”.
