Joint Oireachtas Committee on the Implementation of the Good Friday Agreement
Architects of the Good Friday Agreement (Resumed): Mr. Mark Durkan

Taking it all in context, what are the lessons from the whole process? We have lots of talk and articles these days about census results, constitutional change and so on. What are the take-away lessons for us? If we have an election in the UK at some point and there is a change of government and the environment happened to be right, what would we need to do? What are the lessons from the Good Friday Agreement? How do we close that gap with unionism if we ever have that opportunity again, keeping in mind the current status as a result of the Good Friday Agreement?
