The Deputy asked how we can improve the situation. Currently, the tax relief for renovating a property is spread over eight years. The tax relief should be offered upfront or even given for some of the other green initiatives that are available.

They are not available to landlords because they are not deemed to be trading. If we had a situation where they got tax relief immediately and if that was made available to them, it would certainly improve the housing stock. It is not available at the moment. There are-----
