Going back to the Accounting Officer role, Mr. Doyle mentioned the importance of ensuring value for money. I want to take up on the point that the committee identified earlier about having more assurances for control, weaknesses being identified, and putting appropriate controls in place to manage those risks. Will Mr. Doyle commit to the committee that a Department of Public Expenditure and Reform, DPER, code of practice for the governance of State bodies will be adopted by the 31 local authorities?
