I will address the question from three points.

First, in terms of extra funding that has been committed to the health service, it is very welcome. There has been a significant major element of that extra funding, over the past two years, related to Covid. By international standards, The Lancetreports and many other international reports, the response of the Irish health service to Covid is unmatched.
