I agree with Mr. O'Connell. The only entity that can change that is the regulator. If banks are not prohibited from trying to corral people into online banking, they will keep doing it and use whatever mechanism they have to achieve it. Does the regulator not have a role to ensure a requirement that a certain percentage of staff be available to provide face-to-face contact with customers?
