Joint Oireachtas Committee on Health
New National Maternity Hospital: Discussion (Resumed)
Ms Alice Murphy:
The permitted use is healthcare. It is to be used as a hospital. Again, I understand the perspective of the other solicitor is that this is a restriction. We would call it a user. Most leases would have a clause that says what the building is to be used for. This permitted use clause is clear that the building is to be used as a hospital. From my perspective, I do not regard that as a restriction or in any way as a worry. Yes, it is there that the use is as a hospital.
